Chasing The American Dream

February 02, 2005

Well, I've cut the field of Oscar nominees down to 10. These alternate book titles were submitted my you, the best blogging audience out there. They appear in no particular order. I'm not sure what the rules are. Sort of winging it here, but I need your help. We need to boil this list down to three. And from there, a winner can be chosen. So cast your vote for the top three.

1 Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's Plantation
2 Plantation's a Series of Unfortunate Events
3 Very Little Sex in the City
4 Alone Again, Naturally
5 Don't Dream...It's Over: Life After Divorce
6 A Tale of Several Cities
7 I Can't Get No Satisfaction
8 Tears of a Clown
9 The Wind Cries Plantation
10 CinderFella

  • 1. Very Little Sex in the City (although I might suggest, very little sex on the plantation ;-) )

    2. Plantation's a Series of very unfortunate events (a much further runner)

Although.....chasing the American Dream is still the best......maybe ... Chasing the American Dream - and very little sex in the city (or on the planation)......

    Yeah.......a subtitle :)

  • 1, 5, and 10. Though 'Chasing the American Dream' just suits you. There's something to be said for an active verb-tense...and fighting the good fight. :)

  • Plantation, i came across this link recently, and i thought of you when i read it. I think it might help you in your dating efforts. I dont mean this snidely, or in any way derogatorily. i have a friend who reminds me a lot of you, and he seemed to think much of this informaiton was spot on. mistaking the ladder one is on can lead to a long fall.

    hope it helps!

  • Tks everyone for the votes. It’s close right now between 1,2,5, & 10. My vote would have 5 and 10 with 1,2,&3 fighting for the last spot. We’ll give it a few more days.

Tks Anon Amy for your comment and welcome if this is your first time here.

Tks mystery Anon for the link. I’ll be checking that one out for sure.

  • Anytime my friend, if nothing else, the ladder theory will provide you with some humor.
